HS Assistant Volleyball Coach

Job Summary
Plan and execute practice sessions, competitive strategy, and player assignments for the high school volleyball program; administer budget and expenditures for the sport; care, storage, and inventory of equipment; supervise and guide students, enforce discipline, and communicate effectively with individuals and groups; collaborate with the athletic director and school administration on scheduling and program development; demonstrate ethical, professional attitudes toward district policies and youth development; develop the program in alignment with the district’s goals and provide leadership for supervision, counseling, and continuous improvement of the program.
Required Qualifications
- Head Coach
- Four-Year College Degree OR Serving as an Approved Assistant Coach (3.1.5.b) for a minimum of TWO school years
- Complete MSHSAA Requirements under 3.1.5.a
- Completion of 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching OR serving as a provisional assistant for no more than THREE school years
- Complete MSHSAA Requirements under 3.1.5.b
- Possess previous coaching experience, competitive playing experience, or demonstrated knowledge in the sport
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, small and large groups
- Ability to organize and plan effectively
- Plan and execute practice sessions, competitive strategy, and player assignment
- Administer the budget and expenditures in the sport
- Cooperate with athletic director and administration in scheduling activities
