HRSN Invoicing Accountant (thru Feb. 2027)

Job Summary
Process payment invoices for rent, utilities, and personnel billable hours while collecting and entering client data into reporting systems. Submit payment requests to appropriate entities, reconcile invoices and reimbursements, and ensure documentation meets CareOregon and Medicaid billing protocols. Maintain communication with the HRSN Housing Provider Program Manager to verify eligibility and troubleshoot invoicing issues. Assist with pre-funding processes and deliver final reports to finance for restricted cash releases. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, hybrid at the Gateway office in East Portland.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business with an accounting emphasis or a combination of education and related equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years experience in an accounting office with increasing responsibilities
- Proven understanding of & ability to perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, automated accounting systems, and Microsoft Suite computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with confidential client data
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Desired Qualifications
- non-profit accounting experience
- Medicaid service billing
- Familiarity with MIP Fund Accounting
