Job Summary
Provide optimized Workday solutions by assessing system architectures, recommending improvements, and developing technical and business strategies for implementation. Lead technology projects, mentor HRIS staff, and present module solution recommendations while ensuring compliance with data security, privacy, and IT General Controls. Collaborate with regional and global HRIS leadership to define requirements, manage internal tools, and drive process efficiency across the group. Maintain current knowledge of HR technology trends to propose new systems and support CHRO initiatives. This role requires full-time office attendance at Rakuten Crimson House in Tokyo.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in implementing, operating, and optimizing HR management or other ERP (core business system) package software
- Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with global HR systems (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, COMPANY, etc.)
- Experience working at a global company
- Project management skills enabling smooth communication with stakeholders as a PMO, and consistent project advancement from requirements definition through implementation and adoption
- Ability to leverage systems not merely as tools, but to drive overall business - process improvement and efficiency
- Comfortable with practical communication in English
