Job Summary
HRIS Payroll Reporting and Compliance Analyst owns end-to-end biweekly payroll processing and ensures accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across HR and payroll data. Responsibilities include payroll execution, reconciliations, off-cycle adjustments, tax processing and remittance, and coordinating with finance on general ledger postings. Responsibilities also cover maintaining validated employee payroll data in HRIS/payroll systems, investigating data discrepancies and system issues with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and developing recurring/ad hoc reports to surface trends, variances, and risks for leadership. The role supports leadership reporting related to compensation, headcount, and workforce planning, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, with ongoing monitoring of regulatory changes. Required qualifications include 3–5+ years of payroll processing/HRIS/reporting/compliance (multistate), Dayforce experience, advanced Excel, strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities in a cyclical processing environment, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; preferred is a Payroll Certification (FPC or CPP). Work is remote during the contract period and transitions to a hybrid arrangement (2 days/week in office) upon direct hire, with commutability to Pittsburgh, PA. Placement is Temporary / Temp to Perm, with an expected two-month assignment length and potential for direct hire depending on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3–5+ years in payroll processing, HRIS, reporting, or compliance
- Experience with Dayforce and advanced Excel
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration
- Confidentiality and sound judgment in handling sensitive data
