Job Summary
Manager, Restructuring role in Bermuda responsible for hands-on forensic or insolvency engagements including official court supervised and voluntary liquidations, receivership, restructuring, valuation, and contentious litigation; cross-border matters involving the US, UK, Europe, Cayman Islands, BVI, and Hong Kong; day-to-day management of engagements such as financial and operational restructuring, liquidations, and related procedures; drafting affidavits and expert reports for Courts and creditors; mentoring junior staff; developing best practice and client relationships; collaborating with internal offices and external advisors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- An insolvency, accounting, or legal background and a qualification from an internationally recognized institution or professional body
- A minimum of 5 years of recent relevant work experience across the required day-to-day responsibilities, including a strong focus on insolvency, restructuring and forensic investigations, with offshore experience a distinct advantage
- Driven, displays leadership skills, influences others as well as collaborative problem solver
- Possessing risk tolerance and stress tolerance
- Good business sense and commercial acumen
- Ability to practically apply knowledge to identify issues and solve complex problems
- Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong people and client management skills
