Job Summary
HR Technology Architect focused on Workday Benefits configuration and Open Enrollment supports enterprise-level benefits administration across CMU. Leads Workday Benefits configuration, maintenance, and improvements; plans, tests, and executes Open Enrollment; designs solutions with HR Analysts and Benefits staff; documents designs, testing plans, security considerations, and deployment activities; collaborates with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Information Systems, and campus stakeholders; monitors Workday releases and implements enhancements; ensures data privacy, security, and governance compliance; supports critical benefits periods and other duties as assigned. Requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills; excellent communication; ability to manage multiple priorities; customer service orientation; collaborative mindset; inclusion and cultural sensitivity are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum three years of experience supporting HRIS systems, preferably with a focus on Benefits administration
- Experience configuring and supporting Workday Benefits, Open Enrollment, and related reporting tools strongly preferred
- Experience supporting Workday HCM or comparable cloud-based HCM platforms required
- Experience supporting HR technologies within a higher education environment is a plus
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge can be demonstrated may be considered
- Successful completion of a background check
