Job Summary
HR Support Specialist supports districtwide hiring and onboarding processes to ensure a positive experience for applicants and employees. Responsibilities include coordinating onboarding, processing offer letters and paperwork, scheduling orientation, maintaining accurate start-date and attendance records, creating and maintaining personnel files and HR documentation, assisting with background checks, preparing materials for onboarding and training, supporting recruitment activities during peak periods, processing Personnel Action Forms, collaborating with HR, payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate personnel data, establishing filing systems, updating HR manuals, cross-training with team members, developing and improving HR procedures and workflows, and promoting positive relationships with administrators, staff, and the community. Strong attention to detail, communication, and confidentiality are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
