Job Summary
HR Specialist role focused on supporting daily HR operations with emphasis on recruiting, staffing logistics, onboarding/offboarding, and HR/payroll administration. Responsibilities include managing job postings and candidate sourcing, coordinating interviews, conducting screenings and reference checks, maintaining employee files and HR documentation, ensuring timely payroll records, supporting benefits inquiries, employee engagement, company events, internal communications, and contributing to process improvement projects. Requires strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills, ability to manage calendaring, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; access to confidential information requires discretion and integrity. Compensation ranges from $63,000 to $75,000 annually for this hourly/Hiring rate position; location is Craig, Colorado (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior HR, recruiting, administrative, or related professional experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Access to confidential and/or privileged information, accordingly, discretion, good judgment, and integrity is critical and required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent standards of accuracy and follow-through
