Job Summary
Full-time HR Specialist role at Ducks Unlimited (NHQ, Memphis, TN) focusing on onboarding, talent acquisition support, HR policy implementation, payroll and benefits support, compliance, and employee engagement. Key duties include organizing onboarding, creating and updating employee profiles in the HRIS, facilitating new hire orientation, supporting performance reviews, explaining benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance reporting. Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, 1-3 years of HR experience in a mid-size organization, familiarity with HR compliance, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS; SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus. Office-based role with possible overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent training and experience in a related field is strongly preferred
- 1-3 years of HR Specialist/Generalist experience in a mid-size organization (500+ employees)
- Familiarity with federal HR compliance requirements
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus
- Technical capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS
- Overnight travel may be required
- This is a Monday through Friday in-office role
