Job Summary
Maintain personnel records for hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations while ensuring data accuracy in the HR Information System. Process performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in a timely manner. Perform employee onboarding, including data entry and orientation to company policies. Resolve employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave, and payroll, escalating unresolved issues to the HR Manager. Compile information for workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Assist with employee development training and track leaves of action in accordance with FMLA and ADA requirements. Handle confidential personnel files and support special projects as directed by HR Management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least three (3) years of related work experience in Human Resources
- Good working knowledge and familiarity with HR concepts, practices, procedures and basic employment laws
- Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism
- Excellent organization, communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must have a proven history of ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
Desired Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM CP certification
- Multistate employment law experience
- Experience with an HR Information System
