Job Summary
Screen resumes and applications, conduct termination interviews, and counsel employees on work-related problems while providing feedback to management. Write position descriptions, benefit brochures, and employee handbooks, then conduct research and analyze data on assigned projects. Assist in formulating compensation objectives, manpower goals, performance management strategies, and personnel policies. Enhance relationships with senior internal and external partners, often requiring persuasion when advising others on difficult matters. Resolve and assess a wide range of issues using sophisticated analytical techniques to identify causes and devise creative solutions based on limited information and precedent.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years and a Master's degree
- PhD without experience
- Equivalent work experience
- Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline
- Ability to assess unusual circumstances and use sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause
- Ability to resolve and assess a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggest variations in approach
- Ability to use evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt style to differing audiences
- Ability to advise others on difficult matters
- Ability to enhance relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners
- Ability to require persuasion
- Ability to devise solutions based on limited information and precedent
