Job Summary
Hands-on HR Manager for a 100+ employee manufacturing organization, leading all HR functions including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, compliance, training, and payroll oversight. Partners with leadership on staffing, workforce planning, job descriptions, compensation ranges, and hiring strategies; manages employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, documentation, and corrective action; ensures compliance with federal, Connecticut, and local laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, wage/hour, leave). Oversees onboarding, retention initiatives, employee engagement, and training; administers benefits, open enrollment, workers’ comp, unemployment claims, HRIS data, and bi-weekly payroll via ADP. Supports audits and compliance tied to regulated manufacturing, aerospace, government contracting requirements. Ideal background includes 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience (manufacturing/aerospace/regulated environments), experience supporting hourly and salaried employees, strong HR operations skills in recruiting, payroll, benefits, and compliance; ADP and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency; bachelor’s degree preferred; SHRM/PHR/SPHR a plus; ISO/AS9100/government contracting or lean manufacturing experience a plus.
Required Qualifications

- experience with HR compliance, payroll, benefits, and HR operations
- experience in manufacturing/aerospace/regulated environments is a plus
- SHRM/PHR/SPHR certification a plus
