Job Summary
HR/Payroll Specialist at Milner in Norcross, GA (on-site). Responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and multi-state payroll processing across the full employee life cycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and offboarding. Handles payroll processing, payroll reporting, tax registrations, and issue resolution, serves as a key point of contact for HR policies, benefits, and compensation, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Also supports onboarding, background checks, drug screenings, I-9 verification, performance management, LMS maintenance, compliance activities (including DOT-related tasks), and employment verifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and HR best practices
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., Paylocity or similar systems)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
