Job Summary
HR & Payroll Coordinator at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength supporting HR, payroll, benefits, and policy questions; handling weekly/bi-weekly payroll with UKG timekeeping; managing leaves of absence; coordinating onboarding, background checks, drug testing, and orientation; assisting recruiting and employee engagement; maintaining HRIS transactions; supporting safety initiatives and special HR projects in a manufacturing facility (Ramsey, MN). Strong preference for 1-3 years HR/payroll experience and Bachelor’s degree; familiarity with Workday and UKG is highly valued; role emphasizes confidentiality, compliance with employment regulations, and a hands-on approach to employee experience in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years HR and/or payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Experience with Workday and UKG strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
