HR Operations Manager

Job Summary
Own the full employee lifecycle, including offer letters, background checks, onboarding, transfers, and offboarding. Administer payroll, benefits, leave programs, and open enrollment while managing HRIS records with audit-ready discipline. Ensure compliance with federal, Texas, and local employment laws, maintain employee handbooks, and coordinate HIPAA and security awareness trainings. Support recruiting operations by handling job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and offer processing. Run performance review cycles, manage employee relations with discretion, lead engagement programs, and oversee HR vendors. Build people reporting on headcount, hiring pipelines, and retention metrics for leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- hands-on ownership of HR operations or a generalist function
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll platforms
- Impeccable discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
- Clear, warm communication style
- Ability to work on-site full time at our Dallas, TX office
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field
