Job Summary
HR Operations Manager - Germany leads local HR operations for the site (Dusseldorf) with a focus on compliance, accurate HR recordkeeping, and efficient administration. Owns end-to-end HR processes in Workday (onboarding, changes, leavers) and coordinates payroll, pension schemes, and benefits. Manages Office Coordinator and supports health & safety, GDPR, policy updates, social security, audits, compensation administration, absence and leave, and local communications/events. Requires strong knowledge of German employment law, payroll/pension management in Germany, and excellent German/English communication; preferred experience with Workday and HRIS; coalition-building with vendors and stakeholders across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience and sound knowledge of HR best practice (including current employment law) is essential
- Experience with HR Operations in Germany (minimum 5 years)
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements associated with HR Operations in Germany
- Experience of payroll and pension management in Germany
- Highly organized with ability to plan, prioritize and multitask daily work requests
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office and HRIS (Workday strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in German and English
- Flexibility and willingness to take on more responsibility
- Professional qualification desirable or equivalent experience demonstrated
