Job Summary

Direct the monthly payroll cycle, year-end tax reconciliations, and statutory filings while executing daily Social and Labor insurance tasks aligned with the Japan Labor Standards Act. Supervise employee attendance, leave documentation, and local labor statutes, serving as the primary representative to social security attorneys, health associations, and governmental bodies. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding, oversee office environment maintenance and asset tracking, and manage correspondence and archives for the Tokyo office. Deliver high-level support for visiting leadership and organize local engagement activities. Requires minimum 3 years of direct HR experience in Japan, native Japanese fluency, and Health Supervisor certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of an Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of direct HR experience in Japan
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Japanese Labor Laws and social security frameworks
  • Native Japanese fluency
  • Business English proficiency
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Independent, solution-oriented approach

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Oracle, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites
  • Health Supervisor (衛生管理者) certification
