Job Summary
Manage post-offer onboarding and orientation, serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and leadership on relations, policies, and performance, and coach managers on corrective actions and documentation. Conduct workplace investigations, administer benefits and leave programs, and perform compensation research and market benchmarking. Maintain HR policies, records, and job descriptions while monitoring employment laws to ensure compliance. Administer HR systems, coordinate training and engagement initiatives, and balance day-to-day employee needs with operational goals for field, shop, and office environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience with employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and policy administration
- Experience independently managing multiple HR functions and advising managers and senior leadership
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and supporting corrective action and performance management
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience developing HR policies, SOPs, job descriptions, and compliant HR documentation
- Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs
- Experience using HRIS, payroll systems, benefit platforms, and HR reporting tools
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, judgment, confidentiality, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in construction, skilled trades, field services, or a similar operational industry
- Experience supporting both office and field-based employees
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
