Job Summary
HR Manager Hungary responsible for leading development and execution of the comprehensive HR strategy for the Hungary affiliate, aligning with business objectives. Role covers workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, payroll operations, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, organizational development, onboarding/offboarding, statutory reporting, and compliance with the Hungarian Labour Code and Lilly global HR standards. Leads end-to-end recruitment, succession planning, training and development, performance management, and employee relations; collaborates with leadership on strategic planning, change management, and cross-functional stakeholder management. Oversees HR operations in Workday and other HR systems, ensures scalable people programs, and fosters an inclusive, coaching-oriented culture. Proficient in English and Hungarian; supports management development, coaching, and data-informed HR decisions; ensures alignment with global HR practices and local regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience
- University degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Business, or equivalent; MBA is a plus
- Broad generalist HR background with expertise in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and talent development
- Strong working knowledge of the Hungarian Labour Code
- Experience with HR systems; Workday proficiency is an advantage
