Job Summary
Drive health and safety initiatives supporting the Zero Harm vision while overseeing all HR activities across Woodlands, Deer Lake Power, and Newsprint Mill divisions. Foster a positive work environment by administering policies, guiding supervisors on employee matters, and leading collective bargaining and union relations. Manage recruitment, succession planning, and performance improvement plans while overseeing labour budgets and training programs. Direct reports include the HR Advisor, Scheduler, Coordinator, Occupational Health Nurse, and Coach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, or another relevant university degree
- Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to act as a change agent and foster innovation and creativity
- Proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Outlook
