Job Summary
Investigator in the HR Division (Contract: 2-year FTC) to conduct high-quality, impartial investigations into serious misconduct, sexual misconduct, and potential criminal conduct within a leading higher education environment. Manages a diverse caseload, gathers and analyses evidence, conducts interviews, assesses credibility, and produces clear, balanced investigation reports to support informed decision-making. Works with senior stakeholders to present findings and recommendations, maintains confidentiality and professionalism, and handles sensitive cases involving vulnerable individuals with integrity and fairness. UK employment law knowledge and experience in complex, sensitive investigations are essential; experience in higher education and restorative practices are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience conducting sensitive and complex investigations
- Experience presenting investigation findings and reports to senior decision-makers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge of sexual violence and sexual misconduct
- Strong report-writing skills
- Excellent interviewing and evidence-gathering skills
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and present complex information clearly
- UK employment law knowledge (Desirable)
- Project management experience (Desirable)
- Experience working within the higher education sector (Desirable)
- Experience of restorative practice approaches (Desirable)
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations (Desirable)
