HR Generalist

Job Summary
Lead onboarding, employee relations, and payroll for the Portuguese entity while ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Manage the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to performance management, including benefits implementation, policy creation, and HRIS data accuracy. Drive regional HR excellence by coordinating training initiatives, supporting talent acquisition tasks, and executing engagement programs. Maintain accurate HR records, oversee immigration processes, and resolve employee concerns through collaboration with Iberia and Europe teams. Contribute to HR projects with local insights and support the Country Lead with events and surveys.
Required Qualifications
- >5 years of experience in a similar HR role in Portugal within an international, complex and dynamic work environment and with exposure to multiple HR areas
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor law and local employment regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and personal integrity
- Hands-on, proactive solution-oriented approach
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Fluent Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
- Valid Portuguese work and residence permit
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or any related field
- Place of work is Lisbon, Portugal
- Preferred start date: 1 September 2026
Desired Qualifications
- Mergers & Acquisition and change management experience preferred
- Experience with HRIS Workday preferred
