Job Summary
Administer bi-weekly payroll by analyzing and inputting data for garnishments, leave accruals, and deductions. Oversee the recruitment process by collaborating with managers to identify, interview, and onboard qualified candidates. Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed while implementing and maintaining HR policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Coordinate meetings to educate employees on benefits, develop affirmative action programs, and compile OSHA and worker's compensation reports annually. Manage accurate employee records in HRIS and handle employee relations matters, escalating complex issues to the Senior HR Manager. Conduct stay and exit interviews to maintain trend data for retention strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HR Generalist or similar roles, with specific experience in California
- Three (3) years of payroll processing experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of California Wage & Hour laws
- Familiarity with FMLA regulations and other employment laws
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; Kronos experience is advantageous
