Job Summary
The HR Generalist supports the HR department by providing a wide range of human resources services, including onboarding, new hire orientation, employee coaching and counseling, benefits assistance, and maintaining data integrity and employee records. Responsibilities also include policy and procedure reviews, compliance with hospital and regulatory standards, conducting or supporting performance evaluations, handling investigations of complaints, participating in terminations and offboarding, and supporting special projects. Requires collaboration with leadership, ability to interpret and execute policy, strong communication, and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required
- Four (4) plus years of direct experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in business administration and/or human resources preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ability to learn and use HR software and other relevant technology
