HR Generalist

Job Summary
Respond to inquiries and requests via HRmail, fax, and other channels regarding payroll, benefits, policies, timekeeping, and employee self-service, ensuring accurate resolution or appropriate escalation. Manage high-volume recruiting through job postings, sponsored advertising, applicant screening, phone interviews, and offer letter preparation. Support external agency audits, unemployment claims, and investigations by providing clear documentation and timely responses. Assist with HRBP action plans and standardize policies, including handbook updates and engagement survey administration, to strengthen culture and operational consistency. This role requires a bachelor's degree, 3–5 years of HR experience, and 2 years in recruiting within a fast-paced, multi-site construction environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Human Resources and business operations as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources
- 2 years in Recruiting
- Must demonstrate high levels of judgment and discretion and experience in handling high-risk employee relations and investigations
- Ability to balance empathy with accountability in helping leaders and employees navigate basic employee related matters
- Able to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Exposure to employment laws and practical application in a multi-state environment
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/ERP systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in complex, multi-site, or regulated environments (construction, manufacturing, etc.)
- Some exposure and project management experience
- Spanish fluency (spoken and written)
