Job Summary
Administer employee leave and accommodation programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and state-specific regulations across CA, AZ, IL, and GA. Coordinate return-to-work activities and manage separation processes for voluntary resignations, involuntary terminations, and job abandonments. Support onboarding, offboarding, and training initiatives while maintaining accurate HR records in the HRIS system. Track leave trends, turnover, and compliance metrics to generate reports for continuous improvement efforts. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures in alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional HR Generalist experience
- Solid knowledge of HR practices and employment law of federal and state leave regulations (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL)
- Strong knowledge of California employment law
- Strong communication and consultation skills
- Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
- Proven ability to handle leaves of absence with professionalism, consistency, and a strong understanding of employment law and internal policies
- Proactive problem solver with attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel to nearby office locations as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
- Employment is contingent upon a successful pre-employment drug screening and background check
Desired Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Greenhouse preferred
