Job Summary
HR Generalist responsible for payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS accuracy, and employee engagement within Ruekert & Mielke's employee-owned culture. Responsibilities include processing biweekly payroll, maintaining payroll records and tax filings, administering benefits programs and leave management (FMLA), handling inquiries, supporting full-cycle recruitment (posting, sourcing, interviewing, and offers), partnering with managers on staffing and employer branding, coordinating onboarding and new hire orientation, maintaining employee records, and contributing to retention and organizational culture initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, at least three years HR experience, strong organizational and communication skills, confidentiality, proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems, and preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ HR experience as a coordinator, generalist or in a similar capacity
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
- HRIS/payroll systems proficiency
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
