Job Summary
Lead recruiting efforts, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Manage onboarding and offboarding activities while maintaining employee records within the HRIS system. Administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, and accommodations, and coordinate annual open enrollment. Support employee relations by responding to inquiries, coaching managers, and assisting with performance improvement plans. Process background checks, help prepare weekly payroll, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws. Partner with the Safety Committee to support a safe workplace and assist with additional HR and administrative projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must qualify for Massachusetts cannabis industry badging
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must comply with all company and state cannabis regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of HR Generalist experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Payroll experience
- HR certification
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in getting things done
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Enjoys working with people across all levels of the organization
- Learns quickly and adapts to changing priorities
- Can work independently while collaborating with managers across the business
- Brings a positive, team-first attitude
