Job Summary
HR Generalist—Recruiter role focusing on sourcing qualified candidates, developing recruiting strategies, and collaborating with hiring managers to fill open positions. Responsibilities include reporting on unemployment and workers' compensation, staying current with recruiting trends, representing Better World Books at job fairs and events, and advocating for employees. Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration and experience with ADP/Paycom is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred with 1–3 years of recruiting experience and professional certification preferred. Flexible work arrangements are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years of recruiting experience
- Professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom)
- Benefits administration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft and G Suite
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication skills
