Job Summary
HR Generalist / People Operations role based in Hamburg or Berlin with hybrid work. Responsibilities include supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, creating and managing employment contracts and HR documents, helping define and improve HR processes, advising employees on HR-related questions, maintaining employee files and HR databases, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies, and collaborating with the People & Organization team to implement HR strategies and cross-department improvements. Experience required: completed apprenticeship or university degree in business administration (HR-focused preferred) and at least 2 years in People Operations/HR Management; strong labor-law knowledge; proficient in HR software (e.g., Personio) and Microsoft Office; fluent in German and English; team-oriented, independent, and detail-driven.
Required Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship or university degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on Human Resources or a related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in People Operations or HR Management
- Good knowledge of labor law
- Team player with an independent, structured, and detail-oriented way of working
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Confident using HR software (e.g. Personio) and Microsoft Office tools
