Job Summary
Own full-cycle recruiting including employee onboarding and offboarding, while serving as the go-to person for employee relations and engagement. Manage payroll, benefits, and performance reviews for non-exempt manufacturing employees, ensuring compliance with California and Federal workplace laws. Audit timecards for meal breaks, rest breaks, and overtime violations, implementing corrective actions as needed. This role requires 4+ years of HR experience with 2+ years in payroll, bilingual Spanish skills, and a Bachelor's degree. Compensation is typically $75-90K. Partner with leadership to build a workplace where people thrive and culture is protected.
Required Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience (within HR / payroll)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- 4+ years working as an HR or Sr. HR Generalist that includes full employee lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, performance reviews, etc)
- 2+ years of payroll experience (specifically non-exempt employees), including timecard auditing for meal breaks, rest breaks, and OT compliance with corrective actions / training as needed (for personnel with unapproved violations)
- An understanding of California and Federal workplace laws
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- CANDIDATES THAT HAVE WORKED AT SMALL COMPANIES WHERE YOU WERE THE ONLY ONSITE HR / PAYROLL PERSON ARE PREFERRED
- Bachelor degree, especially one in HR is a plus
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- HRIS / payroll application experience (Paylocity is a plus)
