Job Summary
Manage full-cycle recruiting from screening and reference checks to hiring, orientation, and HRIS entry while partnering with hiring managers to control the process. Build consultative relationships with supervisors regarding disciplinary actions, policies, collective bargaining agreements, and employment laws. Establish a trusted advisor reputation by responding to employee inquiries, conducting stay and exit interviews, and tracking incident/injury reports for worker's compensation and OSHA compliance. Drive employee recognition programs, support cross-functional tasks including payroll and benefits administration, and recommend policy improvements to enhance business unit efficiencies. Complete mandatory trainings and attend professional development events to maintain expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practice of human resource management
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment law
- Demonstrated ability to professionally and effectively interact and communicate both verbally and written, with all levels within an organization
- A demeanor that exudes a pleasant and professional manner when dealing with internal and external customers
- Work experience that has developed a superior ability to maintain professionalism and tact when under pressure and/or juggling priorities
- An understanding of the ethics and requirements of maintaining confidentiality as appropriate in a variety of circumstances and scenarios
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and, when applicable, collaborate with others to come to a consensus and/or solution
- Willing and able to be flexible with work hours in order to carry out the responsibilities of the position
- Capacity to provide leadership in a partnership environment, which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village
- Presents one's passion for HR in all interactions, activities, and projects
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a professional human resources role demonstrating progressive HR experience
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and with HRIS Systems
- Experience in healthcare
