Job Summary
HR Generalist responsible for day-to-day HR functions and payroll for locations in Indiana and Ohio, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, HRIS data maintenance, employee relations, benefits, training, and reports. Must handle confidential information, ensure labor-law compliance, and travel to Lima and Bryan, Ohio as needed. Key duties include posting and sourcing for openings, interviewing coordination, reference checks, onboarding, maintaining records, resolving employee relations issues, and participating in HR projects to improve workplace culture and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, HRIS data management, and employee relations
- Knowledge of labor laws and compliance
- Confidentiality and data handling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to generate and analyze payroll/HR reports
- Ability to travel to Lima and Bryan, Ohio as needed
- Experience with benefits management and training development
- Ability to manage terminations, promotions, and raises in a timely manner
- Ability to coordinate interviews and reference checks
- Experience maintaining accurate employee records in HRIS
