HR Generalist II

Job Summary
Administer and support key HR programs including recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, payroll, and employee engagement initiatives with limited supervision. Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager questions, providing timely guidance on HR policies, payroll, benefits, attendance, and workplace practices. Support employee relations by gathering information, documenting concerns, coaching managers, assisting with performance management, and escalating complex issues. Maintain accurate records in HRIS, SharePoint, and paper formats while preparing bi-weekly payroll activities and coordinating with partners. Lead recurring HR, safety, and compliance initiatives, including committees, audits, and employee communications. Monitor labor requirements and recommend process improvements to increase consistency and compliance. Work remotely to support employees at the WA Headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of progressive HR generalist experience, including payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, recruitment, employee relations, safety, and compliance responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers, internal and external customers
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, type, click a mouse, look at a computer screen, talk on the phone for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to learn and pivot in new systems
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Office 365, SharePoint, HRIS systems, and payroll or expense platforms
- Experience with Dayforce or a similar HRIS system
- Experience with Concur
