Job Summary
HR Generalist I provides administrative support for day-to-day HR operations in a Seattle office. Responsibilities include processing new hire packets and payroll authorizations, HRIS and SharePoint data entry, creating and publishing job postings, maintaining personnel files, responding to verification of employment, assisting with employee orientation and onboarding, ensuring compliance with HR policies, conducting background checks, and supporting confidentiality and data integrity. The role may involve coordinating the volunteer program, handling clerical tasks, and facilitating communication with employees and management; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position with standard Monday–Friday hours in Seattle, WA, and may require occasional additional duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- one year of office/clerical support experience, preferably in HR
- valid State Driver’s License
- Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required
- Annual influenza vaccine required; exemptions allowed with medical/religious accommodation
- TB testing annually required
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred but not required
- Associate’s degree preferred
