Job Summary
Partner with HR Business Partners, managers, and employees to create exceptional experiences, improve retention, and strengthen culture. Conduct employee investigations, recommend compliant resolutions, and support recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning. Lead enterprise-wide initiatives including onboarding excellence, exit analysis, internship program management, and data-driven insights using analytics and AI tools. Drive initiatives that foster an inclusive environment and support business decisions across Defense organizations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2-5 years of HR experience, and 15% travel. Based in Elkridge, Maryland, with a salary range of $59,900-$79,900.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field
- 2 - 5+ years of progressive HR Administration, HR Business Generalist, or equivalent HR experience
- Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Demonstrated business acumen and analytical capability
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
- Able and willing to travel approximately 15%
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with HR systems; Workday experience is preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Experience managing cross-functional HR programs or enterprise-wide initiatives
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience utilizing AI tools, data analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support decision-making
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and creating exceptional employee experiences
