HR Generalist

Job Summary
Maintain and interpret HR policies while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements across employee relations, benefits, and performance management. Administer the full employee lifecycle from hiring to separation, including onboarding, offboarding, and accurate HRIS data management. Support recruiting activities, coordinate training plans, and prepare HR analytics dashboards to drive continuous improvement. Partner with safety and operations to track incident reporting and manage workers' compensation documentation in a manufacturing environment. Serve as a trusted resource for coaching employees and supervisors on workplace concerns and effective people practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Typically 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Working knowledge of core HR disciplines: employee relations, recruiting/onboarding, benefits and leave administration, performance management, and compliance
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organization, follow-through, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to influence without authority
Desired Qualifications
- manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- Professional certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR)
- Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms and basic HR analytics
- Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations
