Job Summary
Conduct prompt, thorough workplace investigations involving temporary employees by interviewing witnesses, reviewing documentation, and documenting findings. Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee complaints, performance concerns, and disciplinary matters, partnering with Operations to determine resolutions and corrective actions. Administer protected leave requests including FMLA, CFRA, and bereavement leave, while recognizing and escalating potential harassment, discrimination, or wage and hour concerns. Provide guidance to managers on policy violations and maintain accurate, confidential records of all employee relations matters.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience
- Previous experience handling employee complaints and conducting workplace investigations
- Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices, Reasonable Accommodation, FMLA, CFRA, and protected leave requirements
- Strong interviewing, fact-finding, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective when handling sensitive employee matters
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and related business tools
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Must be able to work occasional extended hours or weekends based on business needs
- Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR and Operations teams
