Job Summary
HR & Compliance Specialist (DOT Focus) supports Human Resources operations with an emphasis on DOT compliance, driver qualification management, and regulated onboarding. Role also covers benefits administration, HRIS (Paylocity), employee onboarding, and training coordination across a multi-location, safety-sensitive workforce. The ideal candidate maintains Driver Qualification (DQ) files, supports DOT drug and alcohol compliance, administers group benefits, and collaborates with operations, safety, and management to ensure compliance and a smooth employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR experience with DOT compliance and driver qualification exposure
- Hands-on experience maintaining Driver Qualification (DQ) files
- Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations related to drivers
- Experience supporting benefits administration and group insurance
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation errors
- Ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment
