HR Generalist – Benefits supports day-to-day HR operations in a not-for-profit organization, handling onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS data accuracy, routine HR inquiries, and compliance tasks. The role includes processing employee changes, facilitating new hire orientation with benefits overview, assisting with open enrollment, and coordinating with payroll on benefit deductions and benefits-related data. The position emphasizes accurate data management, high-volume transactional HR processes, and delivering a positive employee experience, with a hybrid work arrangement (on-site three days a week) in the New York metropolitan area.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting HR Benefits
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus
