HR GENERALIST

Job Summary
HR Generalist responsible for coordinating recruitment activities (sources, interviews, offers, background checks, orientation), supporting workers’ compensation and OSHA compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence (Title VII, IRCA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA), maintaining HR records and facilitating HR processes (benefits enrollment, new hires, changes, terminations, performance reviews), communicating with the union, supervising HR tasks, and supporting learning and development. Requires strong HRIS knowledge (UKG), compliance mindset, and ability to handle confidential information; emphasizes employment records, training coordination, and employee relations across a six-plant manufacturing co-op.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred with emphasis in HR or related field, or combination of education and relevant work experience
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- One to three years HR management experience preferred
- Knowledge of UKG HRIS preferred
