Job Summary
Communicate and assure compliance with compensation, benefits, and leave policies while administering performance evaluations and merit reviews. Resolve performance and team member issues through separation, investigate employment, grievance, EEO, and ADA matters, and provide counsel to management and associates. Facilitate training in management development, diversity, harassment, and new hire orientations; consult on organizational changes and reorganizations to minimize risk. Administer leave programs and support business partnerships in recruiting, staffing, retention, and organizational design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3-5 years generalist human resources or other related business experience
- Experience conducting employee relations investigations, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate resolutions
- Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
- Strong conflict management skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of associates and management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and influence others
- High degree of initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- HR recruiting experience to include positions at management level
- Computer proficiency on Outlook, Word, Excel and any HRIS
Desired Qualifications
- PHR in Human Resources
- Prior union experience
- Distribution/warehousing experience
- HR generalist experience with an emphasis on training, management coaching, employee relations, conflict resolution, and management/organizational development
