HR Generalist 1 - Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary
Talent Acquisition Specialist supports Associated Retail Operations store locations by partnering with Team Support Specialists and operational leaders to execute recruiting strategies, aid hiring and onboarding processes, and ensure staffing across multiple locations. Responsibilities include training and troubleshooting on ATS and onboarding workflows, responding to applicants and hiring managers, coordinating high-volume hiring for openings, remodels and rebrands, coordinating seasonal hiring (including J-1 visa programs), conducting hiring events and campaigns, ensuring compliant hiring practices, delivering training for new systems and processes, and supporting HR and talent-management initiatives to foster a team-oriented culture.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and talent acquisition or HR experience
- One year of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Staffing, or HR Generalist work preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting software strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
- Knowledge of recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with hiring managers and teams at all levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple job requisitions and priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Regular on-site attendance required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to retail store locations as needed
- Use of a personal vehicle required
