Job Summary
Provide one-on-one strategic advisory and coaching to HR leaders, founders, and executive teams on navigating rapid growth challenges. Quickly diagnose people, leadership, and organizational issues to deliver practical, actionable guidance. Facilitate two monthly peer groups for HR and emerging leaders while designing workshops on scaling teams and culture. Identify client trends to inform program services and connect companies with ecosystem resources. Document meetings in Microsoft Dynamics and track hours. This advisory role supports high-growth tech firms scaling teams and revenue, requiring 20–25 monthly hours at $150/hour for independent contractors based in the Ottawa region.
Required Qualifications
- Senior HR/People leadership roles at the VP level or above within high-growth technology companies
- Understanding of the startup and scale-up lifecycle
- Experience helping technology companies navigate periods of rapid growth and change
- Experience as a trusted advisor, coach, or mentor to senior leaders
- Broad HR expertise with depth across organizational design, leadership development, talent, compensation, performance, culture, and change management
- Ability to quickly assess complex challenges and provide practical and timely guidance
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Based in the Ottawa region
- Ability to attend in-person client meetings and program activities as needed
