Job Summary
Post open positions on job boards, screen applications, and coordinate interviews to support the hiring process. Manage onboarding logistics including Live Scan, TB clearance, I-9 verification, and orientation scheduling while maintaining accurate records in BambooHR and Deputy. Track certifications, compliance deadlines, and employee status changes to ensure adherence to legal requirements and company policy. Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures. Coordinate offboarding paperwork, assist with internal communications, and prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reporting. Maintain HR office supplies and forms while supporting special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of administrative experience in Human Resources, recruiting, employee onboarding, or a related office environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
- Negative TB test within the last 4 years
- Able to travel to multiple work sites.
- Must attend any PlayCV required training.
- Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer)
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via virtual platforms
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching to access office materials or equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods throughout the workday
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with HRIS systems; BambooHR experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or interest in pursuing certification.
- Knowledge of California labor laws.
- Experience working in a nonprofit or educational environment.
- Experience supporting payroll or benefits administration.
