Job Summary
HR Coordinator responsible for recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations within California, focusing on employment policies, leave administration, HRIS data integrity, reporting, employee communications, and engagement initiatives. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, compliance programs (EEO, AAP, I-9, OSHA, DOT), leave administration, safety and risk initiatives, trainings, and internal communications. The successful candidate will maintain confidential information, partner with internal departments and vendors, create professional communications and materials, and generate HR data reports to support business objectives. Must have working knowledge of California labor law and experience with HRIS and recruiting platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of California labor law, wage and hour requirements, leave administration, and employment compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience creating professional employee communications, flyers, newsletters, presentations, and recognition materials using graphic design and office productivity software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity Publisher, or similar graphic design software preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and recruiting platforms preferred.
