Job Summary
Part-time HR Consultant with You’ll provide consultative HR services to small/medium clients (less than 100 employees) across industries. Responsibilities include HR audits and employee handbooks, onboarding support, compensation philosophy and wage-range recommendations, employee relations investigations and discipline, training and development programs, benefits administration including COBRA, safety and risk management, leave management (FMLA, WLAD, ADA), recruiting support and payroll research/implementation. On-site assignments may be requested by clients; candidates must reside in the Greater Puget Sound area and can work remotely for most tasks with occasional on-site work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Five to eight years of human resources experience
- Experience being responsible for an HR Department
- Experience being part of the senior or executive management and strategic planning teams
- Experience managing a program of 7+ people on FMLA at a time
- Extensive knowledge in Federal and WA state employment laws and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; HRIS/ATS experience
- Strong interpersonal, client relations, and consulting skills
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed
