Job Summary
Executive Director of HR Communications leads end-to-end planning and execution of multi-channel campaigns to tell the people narrative—highlighting programs, benefits, compensation, and talent initiatives—while serving as a trusted advisor to senior HR leaders, ghostwriting and editing executive messages, and coordinating cross-functional, governance-driven communications. The role includes managing a large, global portfolio across regions and topics, partnering with Benefits/Compensation/Talent/Legal/Compliance to ensure accuracy and timeliness of updates, co-leading major announcements with the Head of HR Communications, developing content for digital channels and events, applying data and insights to optimize reach and comprehension, and coaching a matrixed team of communicators in a regulated environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-enabled content tools; a BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of communications experience, with strong HR, benefits/compensation, and change communications exposure at scale
- Outstanding writer and editor, with proven ability to simplify complex topics and tailor content to diverse global audiences
- Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios with multiple stakeholders and urgent priorities; strong project and program management skills
- Confident counselor to senior leaders; able to provide crisp, actionable guidance under pressure
- Comfortable working in a matrixed, highly regulated environment; meticulous about accuracy and compliance
- Familiarity with digital publishing, campaign orchestration, and basic analytics
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and leads clarity, momentum, and results
- BA/BS preferred in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
