Job Summary

Build deep understanding of local business priorities and translate them into actionable HR interventions by establishing partnerships with regional leadership. Contribute actively to people strategy discussions, use analytics to inform decisions, and support strategic planning while tracking key metrics. Lead or support critical talent appointment processes, build leadership capability through coaching, and drive succession planning aligned with organizational needs. Ensure adoption of core HR programs including Talent, Performance, Reward, and Engagement, guide managers on compensation, and manage compliance with Canadian labour laws. Lead employee relations activities, change management efforts, and local engagement strategies based on employee insights. Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors and support safety culture initiatives. Approximately 5-10% travel across Canada to support multiple locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related discipline
  • Proven HR Business Partner experience
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law with multi-province support experience
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
  • 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors
  • Approximately 5-10% travel across Canada (3-4 trips annually)

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional HR accreditation such as PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Experience in larger, complex organizations with established HR processes and shared services
  • Expertise in employee relations, performance management, investigations, and complex terminations
  • Change management proficiency and data-driven decision-making skills
