Job Summary
Lead HR Business Partner for Teledyne FLIR's largest Defense division, serving as a trusted advisor to global leadership across the U.S., Sweden, the U.K., and the U.A.E. Translate business objectives into people strategies that drive growth, operational excellence, and innovation by leveraging workforce analytics and AI-enabled tools to diagnose organizational challenges. Manage talent review, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives while providing expert guidance on complex employee relations, investigations, and performance management. Partner with leaders to build high-performing teams, foster a culture of accountability and inclusion, and deliver scalable HR solutions for a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization. Requires 7–10+ years of HR Business Partner experience, 25–30% travel, and U.S. citizenship or appropriate export license eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR Business Generalist or HR Business Partner experience supporting senior business leaders
- Demonstrated success operating as a strategic advisor
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business performance
- Experience using workforce analytics, business metrics, and data-driven insights to influence decision-making
- Deep knowledge of employee relations, organizational development, talent management, workforce planning, and change management
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance requirements
- Exceptional communication, influence, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working within complex, matrixed, and geographically dispersed organizations
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably Workday, and advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Able and willing to travel 25–30% domestic and occasional international travel
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
